Meet Our Therapists

Lisa is a licensed professional counselor providing therapeutic services for residents in Missouri, Kansas, Wisconsin, and Michigan. She has over a decade of experience providing diverse mental health services and therapy to children, parents, and adults in multiple settings.

Lisa is passionate about helping individuals address, process, and heal from traumatic experiences throughout the lifespan. She utilizes relational neuroscience, attachment theory, and somatic-focused modalities both in the office and in nature through equine-assisted psychotherapy. Lisa’s specializations include EMDR therapy, trauma-informed equine-assisted psychotherapy, perinatal mental health, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, relational neuroscience, somatic-based methods, and experiential therapy.

Lisa is trained in EMDR therapy and currently working towards certification through EMDRIA. She is passionate about supporting client process and heal from trauma that impacts individuals throughout the lifespan. Lisa is also dually certified as a practitioner and equine professional (NLC-EP, P) in trauma-informed equine-assisted psychotherapy through Natural Lifemanship. Additionally, she is certified in perinatal mental health (PMH-C) through Postpartum Support International and is passionate about helping individuals through the reproductive years.

Lisa is also proud to provide LGBTQIA+, culturally humble, and neurodivergent affirming therapy. She is currently completing professional training in DIR therapy to further support neurodivergent clients and families.

Striving to create safe, reliable and empathetic spaces, Andrew specializes in counseling and therapy for kids and teens in the Northland and KC area.

With more than a decade of experience as a school counselor at Park Hill and Liberty schools, Andrew transitioned into private practice as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) and Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) to be able to connect with and help kids on a more one-to-one level.

Andrew works with children that come from a wide variety backgrounds and supports creating a helpful approach both at home and in school (when needed).

Approaching counseling and play therapy from a child-centered, trauma-informed and solution-focused perspective, Andrew uses open-ended activities and creativity with each child and teen to help them understand and discover unique solutions.

Andrew is here to help and looks forward to walking alongside you and your family as you continue into your next chapter! Andrew is supervised by Lisa Alizadeh, LPC.
