Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy

About the Journey

I grew up spending time with my grandma on her land with her horses and have many fond memories of my connection to her animals.

When my grandmother passed away in 2019, my partner and I decided to move onto her land and carry on her legacy by raising our own family making special memories with nature and animals as well.

We currently have two ponies and two donkeys who we love dearly. I found myself experiencing sacred and healing moments when connecting with my animals. I began to dream of sharing the experience of equine-human connection with others.

This dream has lead me to develop a passion for combining my experience supporting human’s emotional wellbeing and my passion for connecting with equines to heal and grow. Nebo Hill Sanctuary is named after the road my grandmother and now my families’ land is located and I feel incredibly lucky to be able to open our own equine sanctuary for healing specializing in perinatal mental health, women’s mental health, and anxiety and depression for adolescent, young adults, and females.
