Do you take insurance?

Yes, I currently am an in-network provider for several insurance companies including Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City, United Healthcare, UHC Community Plan, and Aetna. I also accept HSA and FSA payments and can provide clients with super bills to submit out-of-network claims to their insurance. Equine assisted psychotherapy services are not currently covered by insurance, but HSA, FSA, and out-of-network super bills are available payment options for this service.

Do you provide in-person or virtual therapy options?

I provide both in-person and virtual therapy options for Missouri and Kansas residents as well as virtual therapy for Wisconsin and Michigan residents. Nebo Hill Sanctuary’s office is located on the Historic Liberty Square in Liberty, Missouri. In the near future, I offer equine therapy in Liberty, Missouri with donkeys and ponies to provide additional ways to engage in therapy with the support of animals and nature.

How much do sessions cost?

Therapy sessions last approximately 60 minutes and costs $150 per session. If you desire a mental health assessment or a more intensive session periodically, sessions can be scheduled for 90 minute ($225) and 120 minutes ($300), excluding insurance-based payments. Rates vary based on services requests such as diagnostic assessments or psychological testing. Equine assisted psychotherapy services are not currently covered by insurance, but HSA, FSA, and out-of-network super bills are available payment options for this service.

What is your therapeutic style?

When searching for a therapist, you should feel like you are collaborators together. I want my clients to feel they can express themselves in a safe and non-judgmental space. Providing acceptance and mindful regard for my clients in therapy is one of my highest priorities. I have an integrative approach to therapy that is created around the clients needs. I utilize various modalities including trauma-informed care and mindfulness, somatic methods, acceptance commitment therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
